What to expect
Upon your arrival at Garrett & Boyd Orthodontics, please notify our receptionist. We can’t wait to welcome you to our office. Dr. Perez-Cisneros or Dr. Boyd will conduct a thorough clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment. Please ensure you have completed the new patient forms prior to your first appointment.
The purpose of the initial examination is to answer:
What sort of problem is present, if any?
When is the proper time to begin treatment?
What type of treatment is indicated?
How long will treatment take?
How much will your treatment cost?
If orthodontic treatment is indicated at this time, we will schedule an appointment for diagnostic records. If time allows, we can take diagnostic records at your initial visit. If you are a candidate for Invisalign® clear aligners, we will use our iTero® Digital Scanner to capture a 3D digital impression of your teeth and mouth – no more goopy impressions!
What are diagnostic records?
What is the cost of the treatment?
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. Your treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options during the initial exam. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. We have different payment plans to suit your budget and accept assignment from most insurance plans.
Our office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm. It is our goal to see you on time for your appointment. We schedule enough time in your appointment to complete any necessary procedure, give information about the treatment, and answer any questions. To maintain a schedule that runs in a timely manner, we request that patients arrive on time to avoid delays as the day progresses.
Our office and the patients that are seen after your appointment greatly appreciate your cooperation and consideration with appointments.
